Our Story

Dear Friends,

After the 2024 election, Forum NYC emerged from conversations with women leaders in the political space who recognized that our politics had lost sight of our people. Mired in ideology and division, our elected leaders and party structures seem blind to how our policies were failing us. High-dollar fundraisers make our representatives inaccessible. Grassroots meetings are often dominated by the loudest voices. Public conversations are increasingly acrimonious and binary, leaving little room for alternate perspectives and genuine exchange.

We knew there needed to be another way forward and that it must start with listening.

Forum NYC was created to provide women with a space to convene, connect, and reimagine our collective future. We started simply with breakfast gatherings to meet local candidates and quickly discovered a profound need for community-led spaces to process the moment. Following our members' interests, we expanded our offering to include moderated issue discussions, cocktails & conversations, light bites & insights, and more.

This group unites two of my greatest passions: creating welcoming spaces that build community and improving the livability of our great city. What began as a supportive environment for sharing hopes and frustrations has evolved into a sustained commitment to local civic engagement—empowering us to channel our collective energy into meaningful change for New York City.

We are the ones we have been waiting for.

With love, faith and gratitude,
